Centralized Recipe Database with Cubis II and PostgreSQL, and SQLite
Formulation is a very crucial step during the product development and production process. For some global companies, a specific formulation must be entirely produced identically at all sites, and changes to a recipe can be rolled out. This application highlight will describe how you can manage your recipes in a local database located within the Cubis II balance or a central database to help ensure that a specific recipe is produced correctly on all balances in your organization.
Making a New Recipe
The recipe management could be done directly on balance. To prevent an unauthorized change, the right to help create, modify, and then delete recipes could be assigned to a user role. All modifications to a recipe are then recorded in the audit trail to have much higher traceability.
Creating Local Recipes
To help create recipes locally, the task must be completed with the database type SQLite. This is a local file base database, and the steps to make a new recipe are the same as creating a new recipe.
